The Channel 4 winter sports competition is set to return to our screens early next year and in the last few weeks, the celebrities taking part in the show this time round have been revealed.
Louis' name is the latest to join the lineup and he will star on the The Jump alongside Spencer Matthews, Vogue Williams and former X Factor star Jake Quickenden.
A source appeared to confirm Louis' addition to The Sun, following the gymnast's recent suspension from his sport. They said: "It gives him something to do during his suspension and means he can stay in shape while getting paid for his troubles."
Louis has been banned for two months by British Gymnastics, after a video surfaced online of him appearing to mock Islam. At the time, Louis had said he was "deeply sorry" for causing any offence and had appeared on Loose Women to address the clip.
Now, it seems Louis is hoping to put the incident behind him and will be focusing on the slopes instead - where he will also compete alongside TOWIE star Lydia Bright, his ex-girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh's BFF.
Louis had dated Lucy for a year, before the couple confirmed their split in February 2016.
Speaking about their break up, Lucy admitted "it had hurt" at first when Louis ended things between them, but added that she and Louis are now civil. He, meanwhile, has claimed he "still loves" Lucy and insisted she was a "great girlfriend".
Louis told Reveal: "Lucy was a great girlfriend, we both loved each other very much and I still love her. It's just that if it's not right, it's not right. I still care for Lucy and I want her to be happy. I thought it would be better to part ways earlier on."
He ruled out any romantic reunion between the pair and it seems Louis and Lucy have managed to avoid coming face-to-face on The Jump too.
Lucy recently hinted she had been asked to do The Jump, but has decided it's "not for her".
