Scarlett Moffatt's parents have praised "gallant" campmate Jordan Banjo for giving up part of his phone call home to ensure Scarlett got through to her family.

In one of this year's I'm A Celebrity trials, campmates won the chance to speak to a loved one if a group of them got answer a series of riddles correctly.

Unfortunately for Scarlett, her riddle was answered incorrectly meaning she missed out on the chance to talk to parents Mark and Betty. Jordan, however, got through to his sister and made sure he told her to speak to Scarlett's parents on her behalf.

Appearing on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Scarlett's mum Betty said: "It wasn't nice [to not get that call with Scarlett] but it was gallant of Jordan to actually ask for her, so she still got a bit of reassurance even though we haven't been able to talk to her. So I think that really pleased her, she was happy enough with that, I think."

Dad Mark added: "She got her message across, didn't she?"

Jordan has since been eliminated from the jungle.

The couple spoke to ITV live from Australia, where they've been supporting Scarlett and waiting for her to leave the jungle, whether it's via an elimination or as Queen!

"All the families are getting on," said Betty. "We're having a whale of a time with everybody and have met some amazing friends. And it's really good at the camp [when everyone waits for the elimination.] It's those last five minutes that are tense when Ant and Dec walk into camp!"
