The group, made up of Kieran Alleyne, Nathan Lewis and Jordan Lee, found themselves in the bottom two during Sunday night's live results show and were saved after going head-to-head with Honey G.
But, as semi-final weekend approaches, 5 After Midnight are determined not to end up in the same place once more.
Taking to Instagram, the lads told their fans: "Working so hard this week to avoid the bottom 2 again!!!" They have also promised: "This week is gonna be a good one!!!"
5 After Midnight are Louis Walsh's last remaining act and they are up against Saara Aalto, Emily Middlemas and Matt Terry in this weekend's live semi-final.
The acts are singing Christmas-themed songs, chosen by the jukebox. Considering most people will be putting up their festive decorations, it is a good coincidence!
Meanwhile, although Honey G has missed out on a place in the semis, she is convinced she will be as successful as One Direction.
Speaking to The Sun following her elimination, the rapper said: "I'm kind of looking to come in at the level One Direction came in at. I know I can create that hype. I just need the opportunity to sell the records, get the right PR behind me, get the right team behind me that's really going to blow me up."
The X Factor continues on ITV, this Saturday and Sunday at 8pm.
