Former Britain's Next Top Model host Lisa, 44, told The Sun that although she'd always envisioned having children, she never had the sort of romantic relationship in the past that would have made it possible for her.
"I always wanted to be a mum when I was younger – it was something I always imagined doing and being," she explained.
"But slowly over the years it just hasn't happened for various reasons, mostly the fact that I wasn't in happy relationships and I just didn't want to have a baby and not have a happy home. I didn't want to have an unhappy pregnancy, I just didn't."
Lisa spoke to the newspaper after becoming the second celebrity to be eliminated from the jungle this year. She left on Sunday night.
Lisa spoke in camp about not having children, telling her fellow celebrities she had "left it late" to start a family.
"It's a weird one because it's so hard. I kind of left it late. I didn't find anybody that I wanted to actually be with and I didn't want to have kids with just [anyone]. I wanted that unit kind of thing. I feel like maybe not in this lifetime now."
"It's tricky. It is hard. It's not like I've got a heart of stone where it's like, 'No, I don't need them. I don't want them in my life'. It's been something that I've had to deal with. It's not always as simple as, 'I didn't want children'."
Lisa's now in a relationship with businessman George Smart. Her most famous romance was actor George Clooney whom she dated between 2000 and 2005.
I'm A Celebrity continues nightly on ITV.
