I'm A Celebrity's Martin Roberts was forced to down a smoothie of blended cockroaches while fighting for immunity from the first public vote.

Viewers will know that the campmates have been divided following I'm A Celeb's Claim of Thrones challenge and Martin, Adam Thomas, Sam Quek and Wayne Bridge have been living like royals in Snake Rock with hot water and plenty of food.

For Martin and Adam they also have immunity from the first vote off within their grasp, but first they have to beat Ola Jordan and Joel Dommett in a drinking trial.

Ola and Joel, along with the rest of the campmates, have become subjects to the royal celebrities over in main camp. They've had to live on basic rations and serve the royals at their beck and call.

As a group they decided that Ola and Joel should go head-to-head with Martin and Joel and thanks to a sneak peek at the trial from ITV, we can tell you things get pretty messy and seriously gross.

Blended cockroaches?! No thank you.

In the clip, Ola is seen choosing a drink for Martin to down. She picks San Mig-Hell, which Martin describes as: "Cockroaches and anything you've found on the floor all blended together."

"Right here we go," Martin says as he prepares to drink, adding: "Cheers everybody."

Joel, meanwhile, comments that Martin is a "weird dude" and that seems to have Ant and Dec in stitches.

Poor Martin, meanwhile, is still glugging on blended cockroach. He tries to finish on two attempts, but Ant and Dec push him to drink a little more, as he hadn't quite emptied the glass to below the red line.

Eventually he gets there and as Martin starts to gag (that's only natural, right?), Ant and Dec remind him that he must keep the smoothie down or it won't count.

Ewwww.

The Bush Brewery trial comes after viewers recently watched all the campmates go head-to-head to win royal status. They had to take part in a Vicious Circle trial which saw them contained in a box and covered in critters.

They had to endure five minutes with snakes on their head, crabs by their feet and critters all over their body, before unscrewing ten keys to release a ball and send it down a shoot. Those that sent their ball the quickest became a royal.

While Wayne and Sam are still royals, Martin and Adam's place has been put in jeopardy thanks to the viewers at home. Ant and Dec broke the news to the boys at the end of last night's episode (23 November) and it sent Twitter into uproar.

Why you ask? Because Ant and Dec separated to reveal the results. While Ant delivered the verdict in Snake Rock, Dec told the remaining campmates in main camp.

Fans couldn't handle seeing Ant without Dec and Dec without Ant, prompting ITV to release an official statement on social media.

They tweeted: "OFFICIAL STATEMENT: Last night we made a mistake. We apologise to the nation. We promise we will NEVER split @antanddec again #ImACeleb."

Phew!

I'm A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV.
