On Sunday night's results show (20 November), fans saw Ryan leave The X Factor, after Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne all voted to save rapper Honey G from elimination.
Despite the judges choosing to favour Honey G instead, Nicole has told Ryan to "never stop believing" in his dream to become a singer in a cute post on Instagram following his departure from the show.
Nicole, who had been Ryan's mentor on The X Factor, shared a sweet snap of the pair together and wrote alongside it: "My lil' Scottish popstar @ryanlawriemusic I'm sad to see u leave tonight #xfactor can't wait to hear what you've got in store for us!"
She added: "Keep writing! #neverstopbelieving #nevergiveup #scherzyboys."
Nicole now has just one act left on The X Factor, Matt Terry. Freddy Parker was eliminated in week two of the competition, while Ryan's exit came in week seven.
Following the result, Ryan had told host Dermot O'Leary: "Just being on X Factor and being here... wow. I'm just so grateful I managed to come sixth in the competition. Thank you to every single person on this show because you have changed my life."
He also added that he is now rooting for girlfriend Emily Middlemas to go on and win the show. He and Emily have been dating for over a year, meeting prior to their appearance on The X Factor.
The couple had previously addressed how they would feel if one was voted out before the other on the show, with Ryan insisting that they are mature enough to handle it.
He told The Sun: "We know there could be tough times ahead but I think we can work through them. We've talked about how we'll deal with it if one of us leaves, but we're super supportive of each other."
Since his exit, Ryan has also had his say on the judging panel's decision to keep Honey G in the competition instead of him.
From the get go, Honey G has been a controversial act on the show and has been branded a "novelty act" by some. Honey G, however, has always hit back at her critics, insisting she is serious about a career in music, and Ryan has said she "deserves" her place on The X Factor.
Speaking during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine, Ryan said: "Honey G puts the work in just as much as any of us do so no, I don't think she deserved to go. I think Honey G deserved to stay as she has worked really hard and deserves it as much as any of us."
