Holly Hagan and Kyle Christie have had their say on claims the Geordie Shore cast were 'heckled' during filming, telling fans it is "so sad" to hear.

According to Daily Star, the Geordie Shore cast were taunted by members of the public while filming inside a nightclub in Newcastle for the show's fourteenth series.

A video circulating on Twitter is said to show the crowd teasing the cast and chanting at them: "Who the f***, who the f***, who the f***ing hell are you?"

Holly reacted to the claims on Twitter and told fans that reaction to the cast was "so sad" to see.

She tweeted: "This is so sad. Filmed in there for 6 years and not 1 bit of bother. Not nice to watch at all."

Her former co-star and ex-boyfriend Kyle Christie added: "Brings a tear to the eye, been welcomed in Newcastle with open arms for years. Guess [those] days are now gone."

When contacted by Reveal a spokesperson for MTV declined to comment.

Holly wasn't with her co-stars filming for the new series, as she has decided to leave Geordie Shore. The 24-year-old had hinted she wouldn't be back for series fourteen in September, and Holly appeared to confirm her exit on Twitter.

Following reports Geordie Shore has welcomed three new girls, Holly referred to the newcomers as "replacements" for herself and Charlotte Crosby (who left the show in June).

Holly tweeted: "The face you make when you see your replacements @charlottegshore #longlivethequeens."

Holly's tweet came amid swirling reports about the show, including rumours Chloe Ferry and Sophie Kasaei had been 'axed' from filming after clashing with new girl Zahida Allen. These were never confirmed, however.

Trying to reassure fans that all is ok with Geordie Shore, Gaz took a few minutes out of filming to tell viewers to "chill out".

In a short video shared by MTV, Gaz said: "On social media everyone is saying this, they are saying that - it's like Chinese whispers. Anna has got us back in the house and it's no different to any time before. No one ever knows what Anna is doing, yes there may be a few new faces on nights out with us, that doesn't mean they'll stay forever.

"Maybe they'll stay for a day? Maybe they'll stay forever? Nobody knows. We don't even know yet, but it's trial and error. Nobody is replacing anybody so chill out, because this Chinese whispers is getting ridiculous... I hate not being on social media. Relax."
