A rep for the BBC dance show said: "Gorka was sadly the victim of an unprovoked incident in Blackpool on Saturday night but he will be back in training this week and is looking forward to the group routine next weekend."
Gorka has yet to comment himself.
According to The Sun, the professional dancer was approached by a group of youths in Blackpool after heading out with friends following Saturday night's Strictly Come Dancing show.
A friend said: "Gorka was sober, he doesn't drink. This was an entirely random and shocking attack on a group of friends simply trying to enjoy a night out... Gorka's an incredibly passive guy, he wouldn't hurt a fly.
"He's so upbeat that he won't let an unprovoked attack from a yob ruin his first Strictly in Blackpool."
It's alleged Gorka was punched and had two teeth knocked out. According to BBC News, he'll have dental surgery to fix the damage on Monday.
Spanish pro Gorka was paired with EastEnders actress Tameka Empson this year. They were eliminated in week three, but Gorka has continued to appear during group dances.
He also partnered Anastacia for a week while her partner Brendan Cole was unwell and will appear in the Strictly Christmas special.
Gorka has not addressed the alleged incident on his social media accounts. His last posts were pictures from Strictly's show on Saturday, and a sweet message to fiancee Laura Sheridan.
Alongside a photo of him and Laura, he wrote: "To my beautiful woman!!! Thanks for always be there in the good and bad times, when i am pain or not the easiest person! Thanks for always make me smile and be there."
