Speaking to Bella magazine ahead of her I'm A Celeb debut, Carol revealed that she is "absolutely, definitely single" and addressed whether love could be on the cards for her while she's in camp.
She said: "Am I going to find love in the jungle? That would be ironic, wouldn't it?"
Potentially ruling out romance, Carol quickly added: "It will be nice to make new friends. I like laid back, funny people. Even as I talk about it now, I'm bouncing up and down with excitement. I really want to enjoy it all."
Since entering the jungle, Carol has received PLENTY of attention.
Holly Willoughby and Ferne McCann were seen gushing about Carol on This Morning, with Ferne claiming: "Her body is rocking. At 55 she is looking in-credible. Look at how amazing she looks! She is going to have a lot of offers in that swimsuit."
Love Island's Nathan Massey has said he thinks Carol is a "sort" and the former Countdown star has also had her fair share of compliments via Twitter.
Vicky Pattison, meanwhile, is convinced that Carol and her campmate Joel Dommett are going to "get together".
She has claimed there is definitely some flirting going on between the pair. Carol and Joel appeared to make a connection over their love of maths, with Joel impressing Carol with his tattoo of Pi on his bicep.
He also impressed Carol by admitting he had memorised Pi to 100 places when he was younger and claimed that it could never be a "finite number" as the "world would end".
Carol agreed and said she was glad she had somebody who thought the same in camp with her.
Speaking on I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp, Vicky said about the pair: "One [relationship] in my opinion that seems to be completely flying is Carol and Joel. I think it looks like flirting. I'm saying they are going to get together."
Chris Ramsey, meanwhile, wasn't convinced and said in response: "I'm on the fence here, it might just be a bit of flirting," while Brooke Vincent added: "I'm going to go with flanter. Flirty banter."
Carol, meanwhile, has been getting stuck into life in the I'm A Celeb jungle and impressed viewers with her no-nonsense attitude during the series first eating trial, the Big Bush Bake Off.
She and Scarlett Moffatt were voted to do the trial by the public and had to feast on a slew of jungle delicacies, including camel nipples, turkey testicles, cow bum and a fermented egg.
The girls managed to win nine meals for camp. Scarlett successfully ate all of her dishes while Carol refused to eat a live scorpion. Can you blame her?!
Next up to take on a trial is Joel. Viewers will see him take on the Great Ascent, where he'll have to climb a huge crane and win himself and camp stars along the way. The only thing is, comedian Joel is afraid of heights...
I'm A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV.
