I'm A Celebrity: Latecomer Martin Roberts has revealed he was bizarrely quizzed about aliens before making his jungle debut.

Aliens?! We're not kidding.

You see Martin has an interest in aliens and he has explained psychologists picked up on this and had a few questions to ask while checking he was ok to head into camp.

Speaking to reporters over in Australia (including The Sun), Martin revealed it's protocol for all the celebrity contestants to be checked on whether they are mentally stable enough to enter the jungle.

He explained: "You have to have an hour and a half's conversation with the team's psychologist to check whether you're mentally stable enough to go into the jungle."

Recalling his own experience, he then added: "[The psychologist] said, 'I've got to ask you this, I know it's a bit strange, but have you ever felt like you're possessed or controlled by aliens?' It was a genuine question."

Who knew?!

ITV have confirmed that Martin will be joining I'm A Celebrity as a late arrival, along with radio and TV presenter Danny Baker. Viewers may recognise Martin from hosting Homes Under The Hammer and Wish You Were Here...?. He also appeared on Celebrity Masterchef back in 2010.

Martin and Danny had both been rumoured to enter the jungle before the official lineup was revealed.

While they didn't make the original ten, both men will soon head into camp and officially become campmates. No further details have yet been given when it comes to Danny and Martin's additions to the show, but official pictures of the pair in Brisbane have been published online.

And it's been revealed that Jordan Banjo, Adam Thomas, Wayne Bridge and Joel Dommett have been voted by the public to take on bushtucker trial Stranded which will involved morse code.

Intrigued? Us too.
