Apparently The X Factor has roped in the help of Ed, and he will write the song that will become the eventual winner of the show's debut single.
That's not a bad name to have alongside your first ever track, right?
According to The Sun, a source told the publication: "Everything Ed does turns to gold - to have him write the winner's song is huge and amazing news for this year's winner."
"All the remaining contestants have heard the track and it works for the majority," they added. "They can't believe potentially their first ever single will be written by Ed."
The track is claimed to be similar to Ed's usual acoustic vibe (think 'A Team' and 'Thinking Out Loud'), but what does that mean for the likes of rapper Honey G?
Ok fair, Ed has been known to rap himself on his tracks, but if Honey G takes The X Factor crown, it apparently won't be used.
The source added: "The only chance [Ed's] song won't get used is if 5 After Midnight or Honey G pull off a shock win."
Turns out, though, the competition is currently any one's game and Rylan Clark-Neal revealed recently on This Morning that someone new topped the vote following X Factor's disco themed show.
He said: "Someone new topped the top of the vote this weekend who hasn't topped it before..."
Sam Lavery became the fifth contestant to be eliminated from The X Factor, after finding herself in the bottom two alongside Ryan Lawrie.
Sharon Osbourne decided to take the judges' vote to deadlock and Ryan's place on the show was saved. Sam, meanwhile, isn't holding a grudge. She appeared alongside Rylan on This Morning and insisted she is "happy" despite her exit.
She said: "I actually feel really happy. Obviously I'm gutted that I've left the show, but I'm in the final seven, I'm on the tour. I just want to work hard now and I'm so excited to see what I can do... it's a positive thing for me."
