Settling into camp, Wayne and his fellow campmates had been bonding when he revealed how he and The Saturdays star Frankie had initially met.

Ooh! We love a first meet/first date story, don't you?

Wayne explained that he had been on a night out with The Late Late Show host James and he had actually put Wayne's number into Frankie's phone for the pair.

"We texted a little bit," Wayne revealed, before adding: "And then ended up going for dinner."

The rest, as they say, is history.

Wayne and Frankie share two sons Parker, three, and Carter who was born in August last year. The pair married in 2014 in a romantic ceremony in Bedfordshire. Speaking about the moment they tied the knot, Wayne told the rest of camp: "I was an emotional wreck, I couldn't stop crying."

Frankie, meanwhile, has been tweeting her support for Wayne back home.

She has taken over control of his social media accounts and on his I'm A Celeb debut, Frankie tweeted: "So proud of @WayneBridge tonight. So pleased to see him happy."

Referring to his toothbrush date with Joel McDermott on the first night in camp, she joked: "And keeping up the flossing! Haha good boy! #ImACeleb #TeamBridge."

In another tweet she said: "Yes! So pleased he got to do the sky dive!!He so wanted to! Mad to think he's done something like that and I haven't got to speak to him! FB."

Wayne had to jump out of a helicopter and release a flare to mark counting to sixty seconds - in order to save his partner Joel from doing the first bushtucker trial of the series.

Joel, meanwhile, had to walk a plank 300ft high in the air and stand on the end of it until he thought a minute had passed. Both men managed to save each other, meaning viewers saw Scarlett Moffat, Jordan Banjo, Ola Jordan and Sam Quek take on the Tomb of Torment instead.

I'm A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV.
