Award-winning documentary 24 Hours In A&E returns for a 12th series following the patients treated at St George's hospital in South West London.

Mel is 71 and she's been rushed to A&E after being accidentally knocked down and run over by her husband. As Mel's blood pressure drops critically low, doctors put her on a Code Red and on standby for an emergency blood transfusion.

Four-year old Maddi was born with the bones in her neck fused together and her dad Adam has had to bring her in and out of hospital ever since. After recent surgery to fit a metal plate in her neck, doctors are concerned it may have shifted when she fell and caused damage to her spine.

Meanwhile, 68-year old Bonnie arrives at St George's after hitting her head on a bedside table.
