Strictly Come Dancing star Danny Mac has revealed he will MARRY his fiancée Carley Stenson next year.

Danny confirmed that he and his former Hollyoaks co-star Carley have set a date when it comes to their wedding while appearing on ITV's Loose Women.

He told the panel: "[Carley is] far too good for me. We're getting married next year."

Coleen Nolan asked the actor if he and Carley have set a date and Danny replied: "There is a date... towards the end of the summer. [It'll be] at home, so everyone can come, but we haven't put our invites out yet."

Exciting, right?

The ladies then joked that Danny will have no problem with his first dance on the day, given his experience on Strictly, and he replied: "I hope [I'll be ready]. I hope I'll be a little bit more confident with the dance."

Reacting to comments Carley may be just a tad more nervous at the dance than he is, Danny remarked: "Maybe we'll get her trained up. We'll see what we can do."

Well, he's definitely now got the contacts to do so!

Danny and Carley have been dating since 2011 and confirmed their engagement in May, earlier this year.

Carley revealed the news she and Danny are headed down the aisle by simply posting an emoji of a bride to Twitter. She then followed that up with an Instagram photo of bridal magazines scattered over the floor.

Carley captioned the shot: "Erm..." and added two smiley faces alongside it.

She played Steph Cunningham on Hollyoaks from 2000 to 2010, returning briefly in 2011, while Danny appeared as Mark 'Dodger' Savage in the Channel 4 soap from 2011 to 2015.

He is currently starring on the current series of Strictly Come Dancing and is partnered with professional dancer Oti Mabuse. They have been tipped as the favourites to win it this time round, but that doesn't mean Danny thinks he'll be crowned the winner.

"It's lovely when people say you're a favourite," he said. "But there's no chance you're going to win because nobody wants the favourite to win. The competition has got so good now, everyone on Strictly is so fantastic."
