According to The Sun, the former Celebrity Big Brother housemate has signed up for the intensive Channel 5 therapy programme.
A source said: "She's actually naturally shy and wants to explain that there's more to her than meets the eye.
"She's been targeted by trolls which has taken its toll on her and a series of break-ups and breakdowns during her years on Geordie Shore has also meant it hasn't been very pretty at times behind the scenes."
If true, Marnie is following in the footsteps of stars such as Katie Price, Kerry Katona and TOWIE's Gemma Collins who have all appeared on In Therapy.
Marnie's certainly got plenty to talk about: as well as several years on MTV's Geordie Shore, where we witnessed her ups and downs play out on screen, she's also taken part in Celebrity Big Brother, where she fell for current boyfriend Lewis Bloor.
Their romance hasn't always been smooth sailing, however, as Marnie has admitted being long distance (she's in Newcastle, he's in Essex) has taken its toll.
Another high profile romance was with ex-TOWIE star Ricky Rayment, who proposed to her on Geordie Shore before they later split.
She's also been targeted by social media trolls, posting last year: "People are really awful these days. I can't cope. Why doesn't everyone just leave me the f*** alone?"
Marnie revealed in April this year that she is bisexual, saying: ""Me being honest about my sexuality might make others want to be as well."
