Scarlett Moffatt's boyfriend Luke Crodden has joked the Gogglebox star has signed up to I'm A Celebrity to try and escape his cooking...

Oh, Luke! He joked that Scarlett would rather "eat spiders" than his homemade meals and told her Instagram followers that he is "so excited" to watch her in the jungle.

Taking to Scarlett's Instagram account, Luke revealed he will be handling things until she leaves I'm A Celebrity.

He posted a shot of Scarlett in her jungle gear and added the caption: "It's official she couldn't stand my cooking anymore so gone to eat spiders instead. So excited to watch her and I know how much all of your support will mean to her. I'm @scarlett_moffatt boyfriend @lukecrodden and will be running her account until she leaves as our new queen of the jungle @imacelebitv."

His post generated a slew of well wishes from fans, with many backing Scarlett to win this year's I'm A Celeb series.

One user commented: "Good luck @scarlett_moffatt. Wanna see that crown on your head!" Another said: "Love love love this @scarlett_moffatt you are going to be amazing as ever! #scarletttowin."

Luke and Scarlett have been dating for a year now, but didn't go public with their romance until April.

Since then, Scarlett has gushed that she "feels lucky" to have Luke, while he has had a tattoo of her initial 'S' etched onto his arm.

Scarlett has said she is "overwhelmed" to be part of this year's campmates. Speaking ahead of her debut on the ITV reality show, the 26-year-old has said: "Oh my god, never did I ever think this was going to happen. I have been watching the show for as long as I can remember and I am overwhelmed by the fact I am going to meet Ant and Dec in the actual flesh!"
