Adam - who plays Adam Barton in Emmerdale - said last night: "When they first approached me, I didn't think I would hear anything back. Then I got a call to say they wanted me. I was like, 'oh gosh I'm actually doing this'. I had to think about it for a while as I do think it takes guts to go on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! I have been in my comfort zone for a while now and never really stepped out of it."

The actor added he'll miss two-year-old son Teddy the most while he's away.
