Westlife star Brian McFadden couldn't resist gushing over his daughters Molly and Lily-Sue when asked about them during his appearance on ITV's Loose Women.

Brian is dad to Molly, 15, and Lily-Sue, 13 (his daughters with Kerry Katona) and now the girls are hitting their teenage years, the singer has come over all nostalgic.

Speaking about his girls while live on air, Brian said: "My girls are great! They are getting so old."

Brian told the panel that he and a friend had been going through baby photos recently, and he couldn't believe how quickly the years had passed since her first welcomed his daughters.

He said: "We were looking at photos the other day of Molly coming out of the hospital and my best mate goes, 'How has that happened so quickly?'"

Now with two teenage girls on his hands, Nadia Sawalha pointed out that it won't be long until boys are on the scene and recalled Brian not being so keen on the idea of boyfriends.

Turns out, he still isn't ok with the thought of his daughters dating and Brian insisted: "It's never happening."

"It's not going to happen," he joked. Brian then added: "They're going to be asexual for the rest of their lives."

In September, Brian credited Kerry for the way she has raised Molly and Lily-Sue. He appeared on This Morning and said: "Kerry's been amazing. They are such great kids. They have obviously had it hard with us breaking up when they were very, very, young and everything they've gone through, but they are just amazing kids."

"It's ridiculous how they turned out," he said.

Kerry appeared on Loose Women with Molly and Lily-Sue in May earlier this year.

Brian and Kerry had divorced in 2006, after four years of marriage. Their post-divorce relationship hasn't always been so amicable, however, but they are now civil.

A source told Reveal in July: "Kerry says that Brian being so good means she has one less thing to worry about, as for many years that wasn't the case. They are much more civil now and chat a lot on the phone. He calls every other day and speaks to the girls."

Since their divorce, Kerry has gone on to have another three children: two with ex-husband Mark Croft - son Max and daughter Heidi - and a daughter with third husband George Kay.

Brian, meanwhile, wed Vogue Williams in 2012. They were married for three years before announcing their separation in July 2015.

Since splitting, Brian and Vogue have both openly spoken of how they have remained close friends. While Vogue appeared to rule out a reunion between the pair in April, Brian has now revealed he is dating again.
