One Direction star Liam attended Ruth's wedding with Cheryl earlier this year and it appears the girls have become good friends.
Taking to Twitter as Cheryl appeared on The One Show to discuss her work with the charity, Ruth said: "@CherylOfficial doing great work for #childline! Just remember guys there is always someone to talk to,you never have to suffer alone!"
Ruth has also retweeted the new Childline advert, which features Cheryl.
Cheryl's live appearance on The One Show was met with great interest from fans, as she and Liam are currently at the centre of pregnancy rumours.
The 33-year-old Geordie star is believed to be expecting her first baby with boyfriend Liam, 23, however the couple have refused to confirm or deny the whispers.
During her interview, host Matt Baker probed: "Are you enjoying life at the moment? How are you? You good?" Batting the question back, Cheryl replied: "I'm great, really well. Yourself?"
She also kept her hands firmly in her lap and did not stand up while on camera. Cheryl did, however, offer parenting advice to fellow guest, Olympian Chris Hoy, who has a two-year-old son.
The former Girls Aloud star suggested using lavender oil and a humidifier in the tot's room to help him sleep through the night.
Following her appearance, This Morning's Phillip Schofield couldn't help but speculate as to WHY Cheryl wasn't asked about the pregnancy rumours during her BBC interview.
Phil said: "The surprising thing was that she wasn't asked. We know from our job here that when somebody comes in - I'm not saying that is the case [with Cheryl] - they can say, 'Under no circumstances are you to ask me about whatever'.
"Normally we don't: sometimes we're naughty, but normally we don't. It appears, although I don't know, that she may have said, 'Don't talk to me about it.'"
