Strictly and The X Factor are often pitted as rival shows on a Saturday night and while Olly has featured heavily on X Factor, he has now revealed he is "open to the idea" of taking part in Strictly too.
He told Nick Grimshaw on his Radio 1 Breakfast show: "I just want to do it to wind up Simon Cowell."
Olly said: "I've always been open to the idea of doing Strictly. I went down there this year and did a performance and part of me just really enjoyed the whole atmosphere. It was really lovely down there. And part of me was like, I just want to do it to wind up Simon Cowell.
"Learning all those dances is quite fun, but I don't think I'll be doing it anytime soon," he continued. "Never say never!"
Grimmy then joked that he thinks Olly should do Strictly next year, along with a slew of other X Factor faces. He told the 'Grow Up' singer: "Why don't you do it next year to annoy Simon? You, Louis Tomlinson, James Arthur, Little Mix... Cheryl."
Olly laughed and replied: "I would do it to just be cheeky and have a bit of fun with Simon. He'd be like [putting on his best Simon voice], 'You're not doing Strictly, are you?' And I'd be like, 'Yes I am.'"
Although Olly did add: "I think I've done my fair share of reality shows."
The 32-year-old kickstarted his career on The X Factor back in 2009 on the sixth series of the show. He came in second place on the show. He finished in second place on the show, while Cheryl's act Joe McElderry was crowned the winner.
Since then, Olly has forged his own career in the music business and fans saw him return to The X Factor last year to host the show with his BFF Caroline Flack.
The duo had originally presented The Xtra Factor on ITV2, but took over the reigns on the main show following Dermot O'Leary's departure.
However, Olly chose to quit The X Factor this year to focus on his new music instead. Caroline soon followed suit and Dermot replaced the pair, after his year hiatus from The X Factor.
Nick had been a judge on the panel while Olly and Caroline were presenting, along with Cheryl, Simon and Rita Ora.
Speaking to Grimmy during his radio appearance, Olly said he will "always be a fan" of The X Factor as it started his career for him, but he did admit he hasn't really been watching the show this time round
"I have a life now Grimmy," he insisted. "I have weekends off!"
