Carol is one of 30 celebs (you can get a full rundown here) who have been tipped to head into the jungle this time round, but she made sure not to give anything away during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.
Host Susanna Reid quizzed Carol on the swirling rumours she could be doing the show, but the former Loose Women panellist refused to confirm or deny anything.
Carol had been appearing on the breakfast show with one of the winners from this year's Pride of Britain Awards, Nikki Christou, and at the end of their interview, Susanna stole the opportunity to ask Carol about I'm A Celebrity.
She said: "Before we let you go, rumours are swirling around if you are going to go in the jungle," but Carol interrupted: "From the sublime to the ridiculous we are going now Nikki, be warned."
Susanna pressed on and Carol responded: "I cannot confirm or deny, Nikki, can I?"
That prompted Susanna to quip: "Well dealt with," although Carol's reply hardly dispelled the rumours, right?!
Speculation Carol will appear on I'm A Celebrity first surfaced in September, with reports claiming producers are willing to secure Carol's place in camp with a six figure sum.
A source told The Sun: "[Carol] is well-known and still carries a lot of sex appeal. ITV chiefs are also hoping that she will be the brains of the camp. She's a TV legend and they're prepared to splash the cash to land her."
Other famous faces rumoured to star on I'm A Celeb include Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffat, US swimmer Ryan Lochte, McFly star Tom Fletcher and Spencer Matthews.
Spencer had originally entered the jungle last year, but was forced to leave after just two nights in camp. He has since teased that he has been 'in talks' with ITV over a return to the show.
I'm A Celebrity returns to ITV on Sunday 13 November.
