"I've been fortunate enough to meet a few ladies," he tells us.
However, Arg isn't rushing into another relationship just yet, as he admits rather ungallantly, "There's been nobody to write home about."
Having split from Lydia, 26, in May following an eight-year on/off romance, it sounds like the bachelor is relishing his new found freedom.
He smiles: "I'm not ready for a girlfriend yet, I'm still enjoying being single."
So what about their rendezvous in Marbs? While Lydia insisted "it was a drunken mistake", Arg, 28, tells us a different story.
"When she said that to me, I did think, 'Hang on a minute!" he laughs.
Nevertheless, the TV personality has no hard feelings towards his ex: "Break ups are never easy and obviously I do think really highly of Lydia, but I just have to deal with it and be strong."
So will they get back together?
"Who knows? We've been through a lot, so there's always going to be feelings there. You can never say never," he reveals.
For now, the singer - who has had an ongoing struggle with his weight - is focusing on getting trim.
He tells us, 'Last time I said I was losing weight for Lydia, but this time it's all about me.
"You can't love anyone until you love yourself."
