The former TOWIE star, 26, simply said "that ship has sailed" when Lorraine Kelly asked about his relationship status and what had happened between him and Stephanie, 30
"I am still single," he said.
"I don't know, that ship sort of sailed, I'm in the market, back on the market."
When asked if had an ideal girl, Joey replied: "Yeah, nice, pretty girls. Just cute, you know? I'm just letting everyone know that - single!"
He added that being in the showbiz world did make relationships a bit trickier: "That's the thing, isn't it? Being in this industry, you're constantly always working, doing things early mornings and late nights, so it's hard to have a relationship, but it is what it is."
Joey began dating Made In Chelsea star Stephanie after they met on E4 series Celebs Go Dating. The point of the show was celebrities dating us normal people, but Joey and Steph ended up falling for each other.
Their romance came up against it on the show, as matchmaker Nadia Essex pointed out neither ticked the boxes each other had asked for when they joined.
But Joey and Steph were adamant it was the real deal.
Joey said: "I don't care what people think. If you think this is a showmance, good. It hurts you don't think this is real. Why can't you accept I like her and she likes me?"
Steph later said on Celebrity Juice things had got serious quickly, admitting: "We will be together forever... we've said, 'I love you.'"
However, their relationship came to an end after a month, with Stephanie, who travels between London and Los Angeles, saying the distance between them became an issue.
She told Star magazine: "It sounds silly, but it was because of long distance. It was only Essex, but we're both busy. He was in New York, and then I was in LA..."
