Olly Murs had his say on speculation Cheryl and boyfriend Liam Payne are 'expecting a baby' together, and claimed the couple will be "fantastic parents" if the rumours are true.

Neither Cheryl or One Direction star Liam have commented on the claims Cheryl could be pregnant, but that hasn't stopped fans speculating in recent weeks.

When asked about the couple at the Pride of Britain Awards, Olly told The Mirror: "It's Cheryl and Liam's business... but I'm sure when they feel confident and want to come out and tell everyone, they will."

The 'Troublemaker' singer added: "I'm sure they'll be fantastic parents if they are, so I wish them all the best."

Rumours Cheryl and Liam could have a baby on the way were sent into overdrive, after fans noticed Cheryl had been taking some time out of the limelight and had been photographed without her stomach on show. Liam had also updated his Twitter bio to read: "The luckiest man in the world," prompting fans to put two and two together.

However, that could mean pretty much anything!

Cheryl has since been pictured out in London while launching her new fragrance Storm Flower Platinum, and she made sure to keep us all guessing. She stayed mum on the 'baby' rumours while her BFF Kimberley Walsh came over all coy when asked about Cheryl.

She had cryptically told Daily Star's TV Life magazine when speaking about Cheryl: "I'm really happy that she's happy. I don't really want to go in to too much detail on that because I feel it's something that she should speak about, but to know she's happy makes me happy."

Cheryl, meanwhile, was a no show at the Pride of Britain Awards and took to Twitter to tell fans she was "gutted" she couldn't make it.

The former X Factor judge tweeted: "Gutted I couldn't make the #prideofbritain awards tonight. One of my favourite awards!. Good luck to all the nominees you're all amazing."

She and Liam first went public with their romance in March on social media, before making their red carpet debut as a couple in May, at the Global Gift Gala in Paris.

Cheryl was previously married to her ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini. They secretly wed in July 2014 and finalised their divorce on 20 October this year.
