Actor Darren quit the Channel 4 soap eight years ago, having spent 11 years playing Max Cunningham's sidekick O.B., and he will soon be back.
Viewers will see Darren make his comeback on 14 November, with O.B. teaming up with Cindy Cunningham and Grace Black, who are trying to trace the missing Osborne family.
Taking to Twitter to confirm his return, Darren tweeted: "Yep. Happening. BRING ON THE OAKS!"
In a statement, he added: "It's an absolute pleasure to bring O.B. back to Hollyoaks village. If anyone can get to the bottom of where the Osbornes are it's him.
"I still can't believe it's been over eight years since I left the show, as it feels like I've never been away."
Darren joined Hollyoaks in 1997 and his character O.B. was best buddies with Max, played by Matt Littler. However, when Max was tragically killed on his wedding day, O.B. moved away to London. DOUBLE SOB!
Ahead of his return, Darren has filmed a short behind-the-scenes video for Hollyoaks' social media pages, which sees him returning to the set for the first time.
The star gets particularly excited about seeing The Dog and says he is most looking forward to working with Ellis Hollins again (Max's younger brother Tom).
"We've kept in touch over the years and see each other quite often, but the fact I'm going to be working with him again is exciting," Darren explains.
He adds: "For O.B. being back in the village, it's strange in someways being without Max. His death as given O.B. a new outlook on life. He has a much more 'seize the day' attitude."
We. Can't. Wait.
Hollyoaks continues weeknights on C4.
