Viewers know Kate and Dan split in April after a six-year romance but there are still feelings there: on the last episode, Kate admitted to loving and missing Dan, but felt he was trying to get both her back and keep his hard partying lifestyle.
On Wednesday night's show, Danielle told Kate: "What he wants, like all the boys around here, is to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to maybe see you and go on the odd little date with you and see how things can go, but then he's not willing to give up his full on single life.
"I think people forget that Dan, actually, in Marbella came up to me and Georgia and said how much he loves you still. I think people forget how much he kept trying to call you and that's why you blocked him.
"People forget these reasons. He tells the boys how much he loves you but no one seems to mention that side to it.
"I would continue to block him, I would hang around with the girls, have girly nights. In your head, you are single now. You've given him the opportunity so sod him. That's it.
"I know what will happen, because they're all the same: as soon as you start showing you don't give a sh*t they're crawling back. I feel like I want you to go back to your normal self now so sod 'em all. I would."
Chloe Sims seemed to agree later on, when Kate joined the girls on a night out: "She just needs to be around single girls and see it's really good. When we go out together it's so fun. Why would you want to be in a relationship?"
Dan, meanwhile, told the guys he felt that Kate hadn't understood what he meant during their last meeting: she felt he'd been frosty and hadn't reciprocated when she said she loved him, but Dan insisted he's said that many times and she knows he misses her, and there are other issues they need to work on.
He told the boys: "I didn't pie her… A lot has happened and a lot of issues we have to work out before we can move forward in any way. I weren't standing there saying I don't want to be with you, I was just saying you can't go from us not talking at all when a lot happened between us to all of a sudden talking about what we have to sacrifice to get back together.
"It was about taking one step at a time, let's be civil first. I definitely didn't mug her off or pie her, but I think there's a lot of things need to be addressed or talked about from both sides before we can get back to that stage."
