On Wednesday night's instalment of the ITVBe show, viewers saw Megan agreeing to meet Pete at the plush Champneys spa hotel after he suggested they get away from Essex and all the gossip to salvage their relationship.
Pete has been desperately trying to make Megan forgive him after he was caught sending dirty messages to other women behind her back.
Arriving at the spa, Megan told him: "Just because I've turned up, it doesn't mean we're back together. I think there should be some ground rules."
Pete, however, was one step ahead and assured Megan he'd booked them separate bedrooms as he "didn't want [her] to feel under pressure."
Megan also suggested they put their phones away for the weekend: "We should just try to be me and you and spend some time together." Pete replied: "That's all I want, I'll do anything I can to try and save this relationship."
First on the agenda was a walk around the grounds – tricky for Megan in her designer heels! – where Pete admitted it was odd walking next to her while not holding her hand. He then got a telling off from Megan for making a "sexual dig"… when she said they didn't click at bike riding, Pete agreed that was one area where they didn't click, with a knowing smile on his face.
"That's not allowed," smiled Megan. "This is PG."
"Obviously I'm wary," she added, prompting Pete to say he felt nervous and while he wasn't a romantic person, he was trying his best.
Later, the couple dined together on a private patio surrounded by candles and soft music playing. It impressed Megan who told Pete it was a very "romantic" gesture.
"I'm not pressuring you or pushing you into anything," said Pete. "I just want you to know I'm not going anywhere because I know exactly what I want and what I want is you."
Megan, appearing to thaw, told him she "hoped I can get to a point where I don't have to worry as much" about his social media activity or what he's doing when she's not around.
Then, the music changed and the couple's song came on: 'Endless Love'. Recognising the track and its significance, Megan couldn't stop smiling and laughing.
"I know this is cheesy as f**k," said Pete, "but how many times have we listened to this in the car going places and said it would be our first dance song if we got married? I remember it's your mum and dad's wedding song."
"This has hit me hard because I have lost you but I want you back and I ain't going to stop," he continued. "Although there's a lot of s**t going on and everyone's opinion is involved, it's just about me and you and whatever happens will affect us and the rest of our lives.
"I ain't particularly good with emotions and feelings but I have nothing to lose now. I'm laying it all on the table."
Megan suggested a cheers to their "first date"... so is that confirmation she's forgiven him and taken him back?!
Pete continued his crusade to win Megan back the next morning, treating her to breakfast in bed.
After having the night to think, Megan told him: "That was really thoughtful of you to play our song."
"It was a bit cheesy," said Pete, "but I wanted to show you I do notice the little things."
Megan replied: "That probably meant more than this whole weekend away, that one little moment."
Pete said: "I know it's too early for a first kiss and all that sort of stuff but I'm looking forward to that. Are you going to make this really hard for me?"
"Maybe," replied Megan with a smile.
