Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers has revealed he and his ex-flame and co-star Marnie Simpson are no longer on speaking terms.

His admission came following another clash with Marnie on Twitter over their failed relationship, which Aaron has now hoped to put to bed.

The reality star tweeted: "Marnies happy and I'm happy!! We don't speak but we are moving on with our lives so let's leave it at that."

Aaron's claim that he and Marnie no longer talk comes after the pair disagreed over their relationship status before Marnie had headed into the Celebrity Big Brother house this summer.

Aaron claims that he and Marnie were together when she made her debut on the Channel 5 reality show, while Marnie has insisted she was single - she and Aaron split before.

Their clash started yesterday (25 October) when Aaron had taken to Twitter to hit back at Marnie's comment about him having "serious trust issues."

Marnie had told Daily Star: "There's always been something there with me and Aaron, but it just never seems to work out. That's why I've had to just move on. What's the point of just keeping going round in circles? Aaron has serious trust issues. He just can't get over them. He used to hold a lot of grudges against me for things that I couldn't change, things that had really nothing to do with him."

Aaron tweeted in response: "Serious trust issues!! Im not surprised when we were together until the day she went in CBB then she got with Lewis (sic)."

That prompted Marnie to reply to her co-star and she accused Aaron of changing his mind about their relationship status. Marnie shared screenshots of Aaron claiming he and Marnie had never been officially together, tweeting alongside them: "Make your mind up. One minute u say we were never together. Then next you say we were. Sort it out (sic)."

Now, Aaron has responded to Marnie and tweeted her to say: "@MarnieGShore if you look at the date that was 2 months ago when you were in Big Brother and remember you said we weren't together."

Marnie hit back: "@AaronCGShore I've said [we] were together. But I went into Big Brother single. We ended just before."

Aaron then replied: "@MarnieGShore I really don't care stop tweeting about it then!! It's the past. I'm over it."

At the time Marnie had entered the CBB house, Aaron told fans he was "so proud" of her for doing the show and gushed that he would be Marnie's "number one fan" while she was on it.

They had sparked romance rumours prior to her CBB appearance, while filming for series 13 of Geordie Shore overseas. Although, Marnie dismissed speculation she and Aaron were together, and insisted they both needed to be single.

Marnie then fell for Lewis in the CBB house and after their first kiss aired on our screens, fans had questioned her relationship with Aaron. Some had thought the pair were still dating, to which Aaron replied on Twitter: "Me and Marnie are both single doing our own thing! I wish her all the best and hope she smashes it."

Confusing, right?

Things don't seem to get any clearer between the pair on Geordie Shore's new series, either. Marnie and Aaron clashed in the first episode of the show, after Marnie accused Aaron of not putting in any effort when it comes to their relationship.

In a teaser at next week's episode, Aaron asks Marnie to be his girlfriend, but then it shows her telling him he isn't "boyfriend material."

Geordie Shore continues Tuesday 1 November at 10pm on MTV.
