Pete turned up unannounced to a girls' night on Sunday's episode to tell Megan he wanted to go away with her to get away from the gossip and remind her why she fell in love with him.
He managed to make Megan laugh and smile as he listed the reasons he misses her, but she didn't commit to going away there and then, saying she would think about it.
Speaking to the TOWIE official website afterwards, Megan said: "I was not expecting Pete to come in and ask me to go away with him. It's quite a big thing. I've never had a boy do that for me before, it has put a smile on my face.
"I need to think about my decision. I don't think I'm getting over it but I'm learning to deal with it a bit better. I'm not screaming or shouting as much. I do have the odd day where I do go like a lunatic, but that's me and I'll always be like that.
"I think the only way to kind of move on is to spend time with him so maybe this will be a good thing. I don't know if Pete is that romantic so God knows what this will be like; the only way I'll see is if I go.
"I think I would like to see what he has up his sleeve, it would eat me up inside if I said no and then always wonder what it would have been."
Pete has not yet revealed where he wants to take Megan, only telling her: "I want to take you out of Essex and get you away from everything, everyone talking about you, and for you to just remember what me and you had and what I think we can still have."
His pal Tommy Mallet had offered the use of his newly purchased caravan, but Pete seemed to shun that idea earlier in the episode, saying he wanted to really impress Megan.
Megan was left heartbroken when it emerged Pete had been sending saucy messages to other women – including an ex-girlfriend – behind her back. Some had been sent while she was on a romantic holiday to Barcelona with Pete, which they had documented on social media.
Viewers discovered Pete's betrayal during The Only Way Is Marbella special two weeks ago, when Danielle Armstrong broke the news to Megan that some of the texts had been printed in a national newspaper.
On Sunday night's episode, she told her family she was struggling with what to do: whether to give Pete another chance or walk away, fearing if she did take him back she'd never be able to fully trust him.
Her father, Dave, warned Pete would never be welcome in their house again if he messed up for a second time, while her mum, Tanya, told Megan the only way she could make the decision would be to speak to Pete and spend time with him.
