Over the last two weeks, Pete has been pleading for forgiveness after being caught sending dirty messages to other women behind Megan's back, including an ex-girlfriend, Jacqui Ryland.
Megan's admitted she's hurt, heartbroken and embarrassed by the whole situation, while her mum told Pete to "jog on" when he tried to apologise last week.
But on Sunday night's episode, it appears Megan is beginning to thaw when it comes to Pete, as he got a giggle and several smiles while declaring his love for her publicly.
Megan had been hanging out with pals including Chloe Sims and Danielle Armstrong when Pete arrived unannounced to basically tell Megan how much he loves her and how he'll never stop trying to win her back.
Pete told her: "I needed to see you to tell you that I miss you. My life ain't been the same without you and I miss all the stupid stuff that we used to do.
"I miss sitting on the toilet when you're in the bath, I miss you dribbling on my chest when you fall asleep two minutes into a film. I miss you shouting and screaming at the telly when things happen. I miss everything."
Pete continued: "Like I said before, I can't change what happened but I can change what happens now. I want to take you out of Essex and get you away from everything, everyone talking about you, and for you to just remember what me and you had and what I think we can still have.
"You don't have to give me an answer now and I don't expect you to get back with me straightaway but I want you to know I am trying. I do love you and I am not going to give up. I will send you all the details and you let me know if you want to come with me."
"Okay, I'll think about it," said Megan.
After Pete left, she admitted to the girls: "I was not expecting that…" As for whether she'll take Pete up on his offer to going away, she simply said she didn't know yet.
Before Pete arrived, Megan had said she was starting to feel a bit better but would not rush into anything when it came to deciding on her future with Pete.
"I feel a bit better, I still have moments but that's normal isn't it?" she said. "I think two weeks ago my headspace was 'this is the end of the world…' I do believe [time is a healer]. I'm not jumping back into things straightaway, I'd be an idiot to and I'm not ready to."
Meanwhile, there's no word yet on where Pete wants to take Megan… although Tommy Mallet did offer the use of his newly purchased caravan earlier in the episode.
It was Tommy who actually brought up the idea of Pete taking Megan away, adding: "Mate, you know I just bought a caravan so if you want to go down there and spend a few days…"
Pete didn't seem that convinced though, saying: "I want to impress her!"
