Loose Women's Coleen Nolan has admitted she felt for Saara Aalto when X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne forgot her name yet again over the weekend.

Mrs O accidentally introduced Saara instead of Relley C during the live performances, and then blanked on Saara's name while introducing her ahead of the sing off. She'd forgotten her name the previous week as well and struggles to remember Saara is from Finland.

Coleen said she felt for Saara.

Speaking on Monday's episode of Loose Women, Coleen said: "[Sharon] did it last week as well. She got her name wrong and couldn't remember what country she was from so there was a part of me this week that thought, 'Don't do it again, because this poor girl is in the sing off again for the second week and you still don't do her name.'

"I did feel a bit for the girl because she's meant to be her mentor as well."

Ruth Langsford said: "There's something about Sharon, she gets away with it. She's very funny, isn't she? I think she just talks her way around it but for the girl on the stage, you did feel for her, didn't you?'"

Gloria Hunniford, meanwhile, shared her own experiences of blanking on people's names while on live TV and suggested perhaps Sharon was just jet lagged because she flies between the US and UK every week for work commitments.

Nadia Sawalha was also on Sharon's side, saying she frequently blanks on people's names – including her own children's – and that's not even on live TV.

Meanwhile, Sharon was on Good Morning Britain on Monday, where she explained her name mix up by saying her head had been somewhere else.

"I was thinking about something else. I wish I could come up with a different excuse. I was thinking about songs, what the jukebox could land on, what we will do next week and then, 'Oh, [Saara's] in the bottom two again' and all of this is going on in my head and then they go, 'It's you'. 'For what? What am I doing?'

"As far as names go, I'm the worst in the world and my head was in another country. It's just me. I'm a bit dotty."

She also firmly denied the suggestion she'd been drunk, saying: "Drinking? No thank you! Listen you trolls on Twitter, I have seen too many careers destroyed, family members destroyed from alcohol. This missus isn't going there!"
