He may have stepped down from his hosting duties, but Olly isn't cutting ties with The X Factor completely, oh no. He has now revealed he will be back on the show that made him a household name to perform his brand new single, 'Grow Up'.
So when can we expect him to grace our screens? Very soon.
Olly announced his X Factor return while taking part in a Twitter Q&A with fans to promote his new track. He provided video responses to the question that were sent his way, and responding to one about The X Factor, the 'Troublemaker' singer seemed pretty excited at the thought of performing again in front of Simon Cowell and co.
One fan had asked: "You singing #GrowUp on X Factor anytime soon?"
Olly replied: "Yes I am. Yes I am... yes. Very soon."
Exciting! We can't wait to have him back.
Olly's performance will be his first time back at X Factor since quitting the show last year. He had hosted X Factor's last series, alongside his BFF Caroline Flack, but announced his exit in February. Olly revealed his reasons for quitting were so he could focus on his music instead.
He said at the time: "This was an incredibly hard decision to make and one I didn't take lightly as I've really enjoyed co-hosting The X Factor. It's been one big adventure and I loved every minute of it. But my heart belongs to music and I want to concentrate 100 per cent on making my next album and getting back to performing."
Caroline then followed suit and revealed she too had decided to quit.
The duo had replaced Dermot O'Leary, as he chose to leave The X Factor after eight years presenting the competition. However, Dermot is now back as host following a year's hiatus.
