Could we be seeing the stars of Love Island's second series return to our TV screens this Christmas? Apparently so!

According to reports, the gang are set to reunite for a one off special that is set to air around the festive season. Exciting, right?!

Love Island Final 2016: Cara and Nathan win

That said, a spinoff episode has not yet been confirmed and is thought to still be in the early stages of planning. A source told The Sun: "The whole project is currently in pre-production, but there's a real buzz around the idea. It's just a case of working out the logistics with schedules and locations."

No further details surrounding the episode are yet know, including whether Caroline Flack will be back as host and where the islanders will be coming face-to-face. The source did rule out a return to the Love Island villa in Majorca, though. Boo!

But it seems like it will go ahead. Malin Andersson suggested that the cast have already signed up for the show via Twitter.

She responded to a tweet that suggested the Love Island couples will be back our screens, tweeting in reply: "And singles... cough cough."

It would be good to get a low down on what all our favourites have been up to AND where they all stand with each other now.

We all know there's no love lost between Adam Maxted and Katie Salmon after *that* "kebab" metaphor, and there appeared to be some tension between Zara Holland and couple Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen on Twitter in recent months.

However, Sophie Gradon has insisted that all the islanders are now on good terms. Following the dating show's win at the National Reality TV Awards, Sophie told AOL: "I think there were very different personalities on the show, but now that we've come together and we're out of that intense environment we all get on and we are all so similar, but in that house your differences are magnified."

Six couples from the show are still going strong too.

Sophie and Tom Powell are still together, as are Rykard Jenkins and Rachel Fenton (they recently moved in together), Scott Thomas and Kady McDermott and Love Island winners Nathan Massey and Cara de la Hoyde.

Emma-Jane Woodhams and Terry Walsh are still dating and now even share a pet, their adorable kitten, Boo, and Olivia and Alex are currently living together in Essex and have already discussed tying the knot.

Yep, in an exclusive chat with Reveal, Alex revealed Olivia has already picked out the engagement ring she wants. He told us: "I've never been this happy. Before I went on Love Island, I didn't even have an idea of when I'd move out of home - now I've got a girlfriend, we're getting a house together and I'm happy.

"I'm not going to say it's going to be a year until I propose because then she'll be there like, 'Erm, it's a year to the day and you haven't proposed!' So it could be less, it could be more. It won't be that long."
