The EastEnders star, who performed the tango this week, ended up in the bottom two alongside TV presenter Laura Whitmore, and it was the latter contestant the judges ultimately chose to save.
Appearing on Strictly: It Takes Two, actress Tameka said: "I was surprised, if I'm honest, not being big headed but I really thought I put all the right moves in. I didn't put a foot wrong and just really being in that character. I had a bit of pain in my back but I used that pain to drive through."
"I didn't know it would be this emotional," she added. "It feels too soon. I have a lot more to give."
Tameka's interview with Zoe Ball was so emotional at one point both women ended up in tears as Tameka reflected on the competition and praised her partner Gorka Marquez for all he had taught her.
"I will miss Gorka, he's a really lovely guy and I've loved getting to know him and how he works as a person," said Tameka. "It's everything: learning steps, learning dances. I know I'm not what you would call a dancer, but I do put the work in and I thought I gave it my best shot. I didn't want it to be so short for Gorka…"
Gorka told her: "I'm not going to miss the dancing because I will continue dancing, but I will miss you as a person and everything you showed me in this month we've been together."
Tameka added that she will keep dancing – and joked that she would be trying to slip some moves into the Christmas special of EastEnders.
"If I can, I'm going to try and put a little something in there, a little bit of cha cha cha!" laughed Tameka.
Strictly continues Saturday night on BBC One.
