Bradley Hunt and Ottavio Columbro were in the bottom two alongside Saara Aalto during Sunday night's first results show and found themselves boote dfrom the competition when judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger all chose to save Finnish singer Saara.
Speaking on The Xtra Factor afterwards, Ottavio said: "We are alright, we gave it our best shot. If the public didn't connect with us there is nothing more we can do. The only way is up! Saara is amazing and she has an outstanding vocal range so well done Saara."
When asked if they expected to be in the bottom two, he replied: "Yeah, definitely."
Bradley chipped in: "He already had his bags packed."
Later on, the best friends told Rylan Clark-Neal they wanted to get into television and were looking for "more opportunities" to appear onscreen. Bradley also said they'd quite like to record a music video.
As for whether they'd like to present Xtra Factor, Ottavio said he'd be up for it, while Bradley replied: "No, we'll leave that to you!"
The boys named having Louis Walsh as a mentor as their best bit of the whole experience. "He's just so amazing," said Ottavio. "He understands his acts creatively and musically."
Bratavio's departure and Brooks Ways' suspension means Louis only has one act to work with right now: 5 After Midnight.
Twins Brooks Way were suspended from the first live show amid allegations that Josh, 17, had attacked his girlfriend. However, the twins have vehemently denied all accusations, saying: "Today, we have had a tough day with a false allegation. Don't believe everything you read, both Amelia and Josh will be stating the truth. The truth always wins."
X Factor continues Saturday and Sunday on ITV.
