Rosie was last seen on screen in February 2012 when she left the cobbles to star in a reality TV show, which echoed Helen's own career path as she appeared in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! after her Corrie exit. She returns to the show in a storyline with sister Sophie, whom she's been on holiday with off screen

Coronation Street producer Kate Oates said: "The Websters have missed Rosie and so have we. With Sophie away on holiday with her sister it seemed like the ideal time to bring Rosie back home with her for a visit.

"We are delighted that Helen is as keen explore what Rosie has been up to away from the cobbles as we are."

Helen added: "I'm so excited to be returning to Coronation Street and being part of the Webster family again."

Helen was nine years old when she began in Corrie.

No exact details of Rosie's return storyline have been revealed but ITV have promised her family reunion "won't be uneventful" which sounds exciting!

Rosie Webster was originally played by actress Emma Collinge, with Helen taking over in 2000.

Helen announced in October 2011 she would leave the soap, and her final scenes aired the following February. Since then she's appeared in reality shows including I'm A Celeb and Celebrity Super Spa, and become a mother, giving birth to daughter Matilda in 2015.

In July this year, Helen admitted she'd love a return to Corrie but ruled out a permanent role because of Matilda.

"I would absolutely love to go back to Corrie for a few episodes but nothing permanent because of Matilda; I like being at home with her and I think I would miss that time and wouldn't really want a nanny," she said on Loose Women.

"I would love to do a few episodes and I think it's good for yourself to have other things you do for yourself. It's nice to have a bit of balance."
