Since giving birth last month, Maria has shared a handful of photos of her baby girl, but has purposely chosen to keep her face out of view. Now, the mum-of-one has defended her decision to do so, after being accused on Twitter of wanting to land "a mag deal" when it comes to unveiling her daughter.
The claims prompted Maria to speak out and she explained that shielding her daughter's face from the camera has nothing to do with securing a magazine shoot. She and boyfriend Kelvin Batey do not want to expose Evie to the criticism that can circulate on social media.
In a series of tweets, Maria explained to her followers: "Not publishing our baby's face online has nothing to do with a "mag deal". She is the most precious thing in our life and we are unsure as to whether we want to expose her images to the nutters & scumbags that seem to crawl out the woodwork on comments sections... she is innocent, tiny and vulnerable and we want to enjoy her to ourselves before we decide whether to share our precious photos online (sic)."
Maria then added: "But I can tell you all she is the most beautiful, perfect little girl in the whole world and her safety and happiness is our priority."
The 30-year-old gave birth on 25 September, but Maria and Kelvin didn't announce the arrival of their little girl until four days later due to a "complicated birth."
At the time, Kelvin had tweeted: "Finally got my girls home after a complicated birth. So proud of the both of them and thankful things are ok now. Evie Paris Batey 25/9/16."
Maria re-tweeted Kelvin's post and the couple had chosen to keep other details surrounding Evie's birth private. Although, Maria has now revealed she had lost two litres of blood while giving birth.
Tweeting her thanks to the NHS' Give Blood service, Maria tweeted: "Want to thank @GiveBloodNHS for all that you do. After losing half my body's blood without your services I would b v poorly now. Donate ppl (sic)."

Feel like everything I've ever done is so minor & irrelevant to where my life is now, waking up with my soulmate and little girl is life— Maria Fowler (@MariaFowler) September 30, 2016
Settling into motherhood now both she and Evie are at home with Kelvin, Maria also shared another tweet, gushing about her baby girl. She said: "Feel like everything I've ever done is so minor & irrelevant to where my life is now, waking up with my soulmate and little girl is life."
Evie is Maria and Kelvin's first child. They first announced they would be starting a family together in March, earlier this year.
Maria announced their baby news on Mother's Day via Instagram. She had shared a photo of herself and Kelvin wearing identical shoes, alongside a miniature baby pair to match.
Maria revealed underneath her photo: "As it's Mother's Day, @KelvinBatey555 and I are pleased to announce a new addition is on its way later this year," while Kelvin gushed: "Really looking forward to finally filling these shoes later this year. So happy and proud of @MariaFowler."
Maria and Kelvin have been dating for over a year.
