Seeing the TOWIE lot filming for its nineteenth series in Marbella could maybe get our former stars feeling all nostalgic, but not Amy. She admitted she hasn't got that pang of wanting to get out there and join them all, and that's because, for her, TOWIE has "changed" too much since she last appeared on the show.
Speaking to Amy, we asked the 26-year-old if she misses being on TOWIE and she exclusively told us: "No. Does that sounds really horrible?!"
Amy then explained: "When I was on it, I had the best time. I knew all of the other cast. I was with Sam Faiers, I was with Joey Essex, I was with Mark Wright - it was like a little family. I just think now there is so many of them and I don't really know them. I can't say I would want to be there. I'd love the holiday, but it has changed the show. You've got no originals left."
Amy first appeared on TOWIE back when it started in 2010. She starred on the show for two series, before choosing to quit, and since then fans have seen a slew of new faces join TOWIE over the years, while old ones bowed out.
Now, James Arg Argent and Lydia Bright are the only originals still appearing on the reality show. Although, they will soon be joined by Lauren Goodger. She confirmed her return to TOWIE in August and has said she is excited to show viewers the "real her."
Despite the lack of old faces left on TOWIE, Amy told us that she doesn't think Lauren will struggle to fit in. "Lauren does know a few of the others," Amy explained when we caught up with her on behalf of 888casino. "She knows Megan [McKenna]. She's a great character, Lauren, I think she'll fit in just fine."
Lauren, meanwhile, has said that when she returns, she'll be rubbing shoulders with Megan and Chloe Lewis.
Speaking to Closer magazine, Lauren said: "Megan and I are going to meet up so we can have a gossip. She's not bitchy at all – I think TOWIE just brings out the drama in everyone. We've been friends for years. I've also known Chloe since I was 17 – she's such good fun and I'm looking forward to spending more time with her."
Like Amy, Lauren first joined TOWIE six years ago when it first aired. She stayed on the show for six series and was most well known for her on/off relationship with ex-fiancé Mark Wright. They got engaged in 2011, during series two of TOWIE, but split several months later.
Fans will get to see Lauren back on their screens when TOWIE returns in October, but they may have to wait until a few episodes into the series as Lauren hasn't been filming out in Marbella. Her absence from the cast trip away was confirmed by a rep for the show.
