The glittery pair - real names Ottavio Columbro and Bradley Hunt - had a dramatic start to their X Factor experience after falling out over uncooked chicken: they wanted to audition separately, before the show brought them back together.
But their flamboyant stage outfits, masks and OTT performances have left some viewers comparing them to the likes of Jedward and Wagner.
Their mentor Louis, however, has defended them, telling Daily Star the boys are not a joke act: "They put a lot of work into it, even with the silly outfits… I think they're an act people will love to hate."
After getting a thumbs up from Louis during the Six Chair Challenge, Ottavio and Bradley flew to Ibiza for Louis' Judges' Houses, which airs this weekend on ITV.
They'll be hoping to gain a place at live shows but face competition from Yes Lad, 5 AM, Skarl3t, Four of Diamonds, The Brooks and Tom and Laura.
"Ultimately I think I have got three acts who are going to have very good careers off the back of this show," said Louis, who was joined by former X Factor contestant Fleur East and Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon to choose his final three.
Meanwhile, Simon Cowell takes his girls category to Malibu where he's joined by Spice Girls Mel B and Emma Bunton, Sharon Osbourne and the overs go to LA with special guest judge Robbie Williams, and Nicole Scherzinger travels to the South of France with the boys and guest judge Calvin Harris.
X Factor continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
