Samantha Womack (who plays Ronnie) and Rita Simons (Roxy) have both already announced their plans to leave Albert Square, but according to reports, their exits could be for good.
Rumour has it that bosses at the BBC soap are planning on killing off both Ronnie and Roxy in an explosive storyline on New Year's Eve.
According to The Sun on Sunday, Samantha and Rita had hoped the door would be kept open for them to return, but a source has claimed their exit has already been written and the deaths of their characters has "shocked" the rest of the cast.
They said: "People are worried who's going to be next. The script for Roxy and Ronnie's deaths has been written, but none of the actors know what's going to happen."
A spokesperson for EastEnders, however, declined to comment on speculation surrounding the soap's upcoming storyline, but insisted they haven't "received any concerns from the cast" as claimed.
We guess we'll have to wait it out until New Year to see what really happens to Ronnie and Roxy, but one thing's for sure, we will definitely be sad to seem them go - however they go!
