Ryan Lawrie has confirmed speculation he's dating fellow contestant Emily Middlemas by calling her his "amazingly talented and beautiful girlfriend" in a sweet Twitter post over the weekend.
He also described himself as the "proudest boyfriend" in the world.
Both Ryan and Emily performed at the Six Chair Challenge, which aired on ITV over the weekend. Emily was auditioning for the chance to join the girls at Simon Cowell's Judges' Houses, while Ryan and his unnamed band hoped to get through to Louis Walsh's Judges' Houses.
Emily performed on the Saturday night, prompting Ryan to tweet: "Good luck to my amazingly talented and beautiful Girlfriend @emilymiddlemas_ on her 6 chair challenge performance tonight!"
And when Emily sailed through with her acoustic version of 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun', he added: "I am the proudest boyfriend in the world right now @emilymiddlemas_ I am such a lucky guy. You were incredible."
It's clearly serious as Ryan later dropped the L-bomb while wishing Emily a happy birthday.
Alongside a cute picture of him kissing her cheek, he said: "Happy birthday to the most important person in my life. @emilymiddlemas_ you are the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love you."
Emily replied: "I have the best boyfriend in the world. I am so lucky. Thank you for everything. I love my new beautiful necklace too. My boy. I love you."
Meanwhile, Ryan was sent home at Six Chair Challenge after his group failed to impress, but Simon Cowell admitted the judges made a mistake not letting him continue as a solo artist in the competition.
He's now been given a second chance after being selected as the wildcard option for Nicole Scherzinger's boys group, and he'll join the category for Judges' Houses and his chance to make the live shows.
Ooh. Imagine if Ryan and Emily both make live shows? Competition!
Emily was proud as punch of Ryan's success, telling fans: "My boy is the wildcard @TheXFactor. HE IS BACK AND I AM SO PROUD, ahhhhhhh @RyanLawrie_."
X Factor continues Saturday on ITV.
