The mum-of-five suggested on Friday's This Morning she and her children – namely Junior, 11, and Princess, nine, got an unfair deal compared to other celebrities.
Katie was talking about the criticism she's had for setting up Instagram accounts for Junior and Princess and how anything her kids do can get reported on negatively. (Junior's Instagram is currently suspended, while Princess' is still online.)
"I think [the age for Instagram] is 13 but if you have adult supervision then I think it's alright," said Katie.
"Why do they pick on my kids? They don't pick on anyone else's kids. If [my kids] work or wear make-up… They don't pick on J.Lo or Victoria Beckham's children, why pick on mine?"
Katie, 38, said she allows her children to be kids but if a good job comes along that they'll be paid for then there's nothing wrong with them taking it.
"It's a big year for Princess next year and Junior does stuff," she said. "They have a bank account and all their money in it. I don't let them touch it."
"I do let them grow up like normal kids: they're just normal, I'm normal. But if a modelling job comes along why not? There are loads of child models but just because my child wants to do it… why do I get picked on and no one else does?"
Junior and Princess are Katie's children with ex-husband Peter Andre. She's also mum to Harvey, 14, Jett, three, and Bunny, two. All the kids recently appeared in her TLC show Katie Price's Pony Club.
Katie's teased Princess is going to launch her own beauty channel on YouTube and her stage name will be Princess Price, dropping her dad's Andre surname.
