Great news if you're a fan of X Factor (sorry if you aren't): the show has been extended for another three years keeping it on air until 2019.

Yep, there's no getting away from it anytime soon!

(And means we have another three years of judging rumours...)

X Factor's 13th series is currently airing on ITV.

ITV announced on Friday morning (16 September) that it had signed a new deal with Simon Cowell to keep his shows X Factor and Britain's Got Talent on screen until 2019.

Simon said: "I want to thank ITV for continuing to be fantastic partners. I'm delighted for the shows and, in particular, for all the talented people who work on them with us."

The deal means an 11th series of BGT, which is ITV's most watched entertainment show, will air in spring 2017, followed by a 14th run of X Factor that autumn.

ITV's Director of Television Kevin Lygo added that both are "big, brilliant, wonderful shows", saying: "I am delighted that they will continue to take up their place as an important part of our schedule for the next three years. They are defining shows for us, ones that we are very proud to have as part of our entertainment slate, and they continue year after year, for months at a time, to be amongst the most popular and hugely entertaining formats on television."

The 13th series of X Factor is currently airing on ITV with judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne.
