Mark Wright gushes about Michelle Keegan's Our Girl performance: "She astounds me"

Mark Wright has publicly praised his wife Michelle Keegan following the second episode of Our Girl.

Michelle has taken the helm in the BBC One drama, which kicked off last week, and the latest instalment saw her character - Lance Corporal Georgie Lane - taken hostage in Kenya, near the border of Somalia.

In dramatic scenes, viewers watched as Georgia was bundled into a van by terrorists and locked up, before a knife was held to her throat.

After watching the second episode, Mark was quick to gush about his wife on social media. He tweeted: "WOW WOW WOW !! #OurGirl unbelievable!!"

Mark then added: "This one @michkeegan astounds me more every day....Truly sensational performance!!"

Meanwhile, Mark is by no means the only famous fan of Our Girl. Before the episode aired, singer Olly Murs tweeted: "Excited to see @michkeegan on #ourgirl @bbcone right now!! @MarkWright_ tells me tonight's is better than last week..."

Olympic swimmer and former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Rebecca Adlington added: "Yes! #GBBO followed by #OurGirl !!!! Best night!"

And Made In Chelsea's Lucy Watson said: "Wow @michkeegan is absolutely killing it in #OurGirl."

EastEnders actress Lacey Turner played the original lead in Our Girl, 18-year-old Molly Dawes, before leaving after one series.
