The Inbetweeners star Emily Head is returning to our screens, as she has now joined the cast of ITV soap Emmerdale.

Set to appear on our screens in October, Emily has joined Emmerdale to play the role of Rebecca White - who is sister to character Chrissie White and daughter of Lawrence White

And rumour has it her arrival is set to cause a stir...

Speaking about her addition to the Emmerdale cast, according to Daily Star, Emily has said: "I am really looking forward to joining the Emmerdale cast, and so excited to be the one to put a face to the name Rebecca White. I can't wait to see how the village reacts to her arrival."

Fans may recognise Emily from E4 comedy The Inbetweeners. She played Simon's love interest onscreen, Carli D'Amato. Simon was forever trying to impress Carli and one of our fave moments between the pair has to be when a drunken Simon headed over to Carli's to help babysit her little brother with Will in tow - that was after spray painting his affections for her on her family's drive way.

The night had disaster written all over it, right?!

Fingers crossed things go a little more smoothly when Emily joins The Dales! We can't wait to see her in action.
