Calvin Harris has given a rare interview about ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, admitting he was uncomfortable with all the publicity surrounding their relationship.

The DJ was with popstar Taylor for 15 months before they ended their romance in June 2016. What followed, however, was a storm of headlines about the rumoured reasons for their split, how quickly Taylor jumped into a relationship with now-ex-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston, and *that* issue about his hit song 'This Is What You Came For'.

If you remember, Taylor's rep confirmed in an interview Taylor had penned the track, but Calvin fired back via Twitter saying he found it "hurtful" she'd go to such lengths to keep her involvement private, only to backtrack and go public in order to make him look bad.

He said: "I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do. I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it."

Now speaking to GQ magazine's October 2016 issue, Calvin has admitted he didn't like any of the publicity surrounding their romance or break-up, and suggested his Twitter outburst
was simply due to so much pressure from being in the spotlight.

"The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicised than the relationship itself. When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus. She respected my feelings in that sense. I'm not good at being a celebrity. But when it ended, all hell broke loose," he said.

"For both of us it was the wrong situation. It clearly wasn't right, so it ended, but all of the stuff that happened afterwards..."

He added that it's all in the past now and he's focusing on being a "positive guy" and realises none of that matters anymore.

Meanwhile, Calvin's interview - which you can read in full in GQ - was published the same week it emerged that Taylor and actor Tom had apparently ended their relationship.

Although there's been no confirmation from Hiddleswift, multiple sources across the globe have claimed the pair's three-month relationship is over. Of course, there have been SO MANY REASONS offered for why the power couple ended things and who actually pulled the plug.

Some sources have suggested Taylor was fed up with Tom wanting to be in the limelight, while others have said Tom was tired of being seen as an apparent "laughing stock" and being in the headlines. Others say Tom wanted Taylor to come to the Emmys with him but she refused. Some claim Taylor doesn't want a serious relationship right now and that's where it was heading.
