Vicky Pattison has confirmed her Loose Women departure but denied reports it was due to her alleged "party animal" lifestyle.

The 28-year-old joined the ITV show as a regular panelist in January; following her triumphant success in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

She appeared weekly on the show until September.

A source had told The Sun that show bosses were concerned about Vicky's social life and felt she put nights out before the show, but a defiant Vicky has hit back and said that is simply NOT TRUE.

She told fans: "Regardless of what may have incorrectly reported about me, I would like to set the record straight: I've loved my time on @loosewomen but.. . It was only a summer contract and now I'm having some time off before I start some big & exciting projects this Autumn!

"My relationship with all the @loosewomen, the team and @ITV is still great and we all tried to clarify the truth before this story was printed...However we were ignored!!!"

The former Geordie Shore star added: "Anyway, THANKYOU all for the sweet messages- and I'm sure I'll pop back to see the ladies again!"

We loved Vicky on Loose Women and we'll definitely miss her!

Vicky had always listed Loose Women as a dream job. In her autobiography she even spoke about how joining the panel would be amazing if it was ever offered to her: "If they ever need someone new for the Loose Women panel, I'm there..."

But she's not off our screens entirely now: her new mini-series with Ferne McCann airs every Tuesday morning on This Morning, as they show viewers the delights of the Amalfi coast.
