Photos emerged of Courtney and Megan's boyfriend Pete deep in discussion at V Festival in Essex in August, leading some outlets to speculate they'd been rowing.
At the time Pete firmly denied a row via Twitter, while Megan wrote in her Reveal magazine column the pair had just been talking.
She also said she was "disappointed" that Courtney didn't speak out immediately.
But now Courtney has spoken out, saying: "A lot of people were saying me and Pete were having an argument but really we were sorting things out. I think he just uses hand gestures."
Courtney fell out with Megan and by association Pete during the last series, when Megan accused Courtney and Chloe Meadows of being bad friends and not having her back. They denied this saying they always stuck up for her. The girls patched things up by the end of the series, but Megan suggested their Girl Band bond was "dead" and she'd moved on from the group.
Speaking via a video posted to the TOWIE Twitter account, Courtney said: "I saw [Megan] at the festival a couple of weeks ago and we were all together. It was really nice but it wasn't how it used to be. It wasn't like, 'Hi, kissy, kissy.' It was kind of just civil. Like how you would be if you've fallen out with a friend and you've made up but it's not the same."
Megan previously told us: "[Courtney and Pete] were talking about there was no drama, and Pete was just gesticulating with his arm, making it look like they were rowing.
"I mean it when I say the Girl Band is over and we'll never be best friends again, but we were all civil. Courtney was even wearing Pete's jacket at one point, he's such a gent. I was disappointed that Courtney didn't defend Pete by tweeting the truth, but we're not friends, so what can I do?"
