Love Island's Cara de la Hoyde has revealed EXACTLY what she did with her share of the winning £50,000 cash.

The 25-year-old circus performer won the ITV2 show with boyfriend Nathan Massey, 24, over the summer, pocketing the dosh after they proved their relationship was about love, not money.

Now, she's told Daily Star just how she spent her winnings.

As she initially promised, Cara revealed she has given some of the money to her beloved mum to fix up her home, while some cash went to her younger brother, 21, to pay the deposit on his new car and cover one year of insurance.

The rest of the money is now in savings waiting to be invested in property.

"Nathan and I want to rent our flat for a bit then each buy a flat as an investment, then in a few years buy property together," she said. "We are being very sensible with the money."

Cara and Nathan are as smitten as ever after leaving the villa.

The couple moved into their first home together in August, with Cara relocating to Nathan's native Essex. In an episode of TOWIE last series, they made a cameo appearance alongside close friends Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou, where they revealed they'd actually been house hunting in the same apartment block as Tommy and Georgia's new home.

They've settled in a two-bedroom flat in Chigwell, Essex, around the corner from Love Island runners up Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland, and Nathan's mum.

Cara, who previously lived in Kent, told Reveal: "We're so excited! I'm now a fully-fledged Essex girl! I've been to the Sugar Hut, and I've been getting blow dries."

They appeared on TOWIE to discuss moving in together.

Of course, now they're living together, there have been the inevitable whisperings of an engagement to follow, but Nathan told us it's a bit too soon to be thinking about a ring just yet.

"Moving in together has been a big step already and we don't want to push things too far," he said. "It's lovely just to have our first home."

Cara added: "We both know it's heading in that direction and we'll be together forever. At the moment, we're really looking forward to having Christmas in the house together."
