Fans will remember Monica from The X Factor's last series, and it's safe to say she now looks SO different compared to her days on the show.
Having embarked on her own weight loss mission, 26-year-old Monica has now overhauled her diet and is flaunting a much svelter frame.
She debuted her new look on ITV's This Morning and told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford that she decided to take action, after feeling unhealthy and recognising she had a food addiction.
Unhappy with her weight, after reaching her heaviest at 15 and a half stone, Monica explained how she felt the need to change her ways. She said: "I was always battling with my weight, it has always been a problem of mine... a demon that I had to battle.
"In 2015, I was on tour with Blue and I could really feel how unfit I was on stage, how unhealthy I was, I felt groggy and couldn't move the way I wanted to move. I remember crying my eyes out thinking I felt unhealthy, out of breath... I was eating excessively and trying fad diets, I'd lose weight and in turn put on double the amount I had lost. It was a snowball effect. It was getting out of control."
Monica then explained how she decided to take "drastic action" and that led to her opting for a gastric band. She had that fitted in April 2015 and claimed it has been "the best thing" she has ever done.
Defending her decision to opt for a gastric band, Monica said: "Food was my addiction. I couldn't control it. What do I do? Do I wait til I have high blood pressure? Until I'm 25 stone and have excess skin to deal with? I saw myself getting there."
She revealed that she started to notice results within as little as two weeks, but she did stress that having a gastric band fitted is an aid to help her with losing weight, not a solution.
"I did something so drastic, I put my body through something, I need to learn how to respect it now," Monica claimed. "I didn't go through that for nothing."
The singer revealed she has overhauled her diet too, and now plans to up her training regime in the gym from more cardio based workouts to weight exercises too.
Monica first appeared on The X Factor in 2014, but was sent home by her then mentor Cheryl during boot camp's Six Chair Challenge stage. Monica then re-auditioned in 2015 and made it through to the show's live finals, before being eliminated in week three.
Speaking about her time on The X Factor, Monica didn't rule out a third appearance. Asked if she'd ever go back again, she joked: "Probably, I think that's called insanity!"
